Choose a standalone microphone if your venue already has a compatible sound system. A speech package provides both the microphone and speakers when you need the whole setup.
Wired or wireless?
A wired microphone is a simple choice for a fixed speaking position. Wireless gives a speaker more freedom to move. Check the Shure product page for the included receiver and connection requirements.

Can I hire just a microphone in Leeds?
Yes. Choose Microphone + Stand or Shure BLX24/SM58 for a standalone wired or wireless option. You will need a compatible speaker or PA system; these microphone products do not include speakers.
What is included in a speech PA package?
Speech Small, Medium and Large combine one microphone with one, two or four speakers respectively. Open the product page for the exact stands, cables and connection details included.
Can I use a microphone for wedding speeches?
Yes. Speech systems suit announcements, readings and speeches. If you need ceremony sound, playlist music or a wedding DJ as well, our wedding page compares the dedicated wedding options.
Can I connect more than one microphone?
This depends on your speaker or mixer inputs. Tell us how many people need microphones at the same time so we can help you choose compatible equipment and any additional mixer or cables.
Can you deliver and set up the equipment in Leeds?
Yes. Delivery starts at £20 each way for up to 10 miles, then £2 per additional mile each way where available. Professional setup is optional when we deliver, from £25 for the whole hire. Checkout shows the full total before you pay.
How do hire dates, collection and returns work?
Book by the day. Collection is after 12pm, and equipment is due back by 6pm the day after your final rental date. Choose your dates and fulfilment in the basket to check availability and the full price.
Can I get extra cables and adapters?
Yes. Add the cables and adapters you need from Cables & Accessories. These are free with at least £49 of paid equipment hire across your booked days, before discounts and excluding delivery and setup. Check the product details for the cables already included.
